South Tyrol map with forest inspectorates and forest stations

The Provincial Forestry Service, which corresponds in the organizational chart of the country to the Forestry Department, has a hierarchical structure: it consists of the head of Department and 12 bureaus with a total of 38 forestry stations (Forststationen) and three hunting and fisheries supervision departments (Dienststellen für Jagd- und Fischereiaufsicht) and is capillary distributed throughout South Tyrol.

The 12 bureaus are divided into four central offices for forest administration, mountain economy, forest planning and the office for hunting and fisheries with specific tasks and countrywide responsibility, and eight forest inspectorates, each comprising several communities.
